About the Role:
We seek a motivated and enthusiastic Hydraulic Engineering Intern to join our client’s dynamic team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in hydraulic engineering, working on real-world projects alongside experienced professionals. The ideal candidate will be interested in fluid dynamics, water resource management, and engineering solutions that support sustainable infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design, development, and analysis of hydraulic systems and structures, including water distribution, drainage, and flood control systems.
- Support field assessments and data collection for hydraulic models and simulations.
- Collaborate with senior engineers on project planning, reports, and presentations.
- Contribute to preparing technical documentation and designs using AutoCAD and other engineering software.
- Perform research on best practices and innovative hydraulic engineering solutions.
- Participate in site visits to observe installations, maintenance, and operational processes.
- Ensure all project work complies with industry standards and regulations while maintaining safety and sustainability practices.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Hydraulic Engineering or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of fluid dynamics, water management, and hydraulic systems.
- Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, HEC-RAS, or other simulation tools is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced engineering environment.
